Becky Fincham is founder of Bigmouth Book Events, Festivals, Tours & PR. Becky has worked in Book Publishing for over 16 years. Starting out as Publicity Manager for the likes of HarperCollins, Headline and Faber & Faber, in 2010 she was promoted to Head of Faber Academy, managing the independent publisher’s creative writing programme. In 2011 Becky was listed as a Rising Star of publishing by trade magazine, The Bookseller. She then became Manager of Faber Social before turning freelance in November 2013 .
In recent years Becky has been tour manager for various high profile campaigns including Carol Ann Duffy’s Shore to Shore tour, the 30 date hardback tour for Adam Kay’s bestselling This Is Going To Hurt and three Faber New Poets tours. Becky has programmed and produced events with artists and authors ranging from Jarvis Cocker to Hilary Mantel, from Beck to Hollie McNish, from Malorie Blackman to The Last Poets, from Murray Lachlan Young to Inua Ellams for festivals including Edinburgh International Book Festival, Foyles Grand Opening Festival, Winter Shuffle and Branchage Festival. She has also managed PR and Social Media campaigns respectively for Ledbury Poetry Festival and Jewish Book Week. Over the years Becky has managed PR campaigns for authors including DBC Pierre, Orhan Pamuk, Carol Ann Duffy, Paul Muldoon, Andrew Motion, Petina Gappah, Neil Gaiman, Bob Stanley, Owen Sheers, Simon Reynolds, Kevin Cummins, Hugo Williams, Don Paterson, Faber New Poets (#8-16), Giles Foden, Elijah Wald, Travis Barker, Sue Gee, Vanora Bennett, Mandasue Heller, Margaret Cezair-Thompson.
Becky Fincham has appeared in media including The Financial Times, The Bookseller, BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, BBC Radio Northern Ireland The Arts Show, BBC Radio Jersey and has talked about Events and PR at a number of conferences including The Bookseller Marketing and Publicity Conference 2016. Becky also holds an IDM qualification in Social Media Marketing.
